Yev Vasylkova
Bio
Yevheniia Vasylkova is an emerging Ukrainian visual artist based in Airdrie. Her work explores experiences of displacement, trauma, and mental health issues using them as catalysts to investigate the healing potential of artistic expression. She engages with these themes through watercolour, collage, interactive art, and community-focused workshops that invite dialogue, connection, and reflection. Previously a full-time graphic designer and a marketing specialist, Yevheniia gradually transitioned to a full-time art practice in 2025. She is also a member of Bear & Unicorn Creative Company, a collective that produces murals and community art activations in Calgary and surrounding area.
