Shirley Hauck weaves her love of fabric into her paintings creating works that blend texture, depth and emotion. For many years she was an art quilter and textile artist receiving both local and international recognition for her innovative designs. Shirley turned her creative energy toward painting where her background in textiles continues to influence her approach to colour, layering and composition. Shirley draws inspiration not only from her deep connection to the land but also from the abundance and richness of the surrounding landscape — its structures, textures & natural fauna. Her paintings invite viewers to pause and look closer.
