Have you ever been stopped short by that amazing sunset or a moody, misty day? Jean Parker, a Canadian artist living in Calgary and PEI, is intrigued by the forces that collide to create these beautiful moments. For her these “minor cord” moments of life generate such vibrancy, mood and mystery. To paint this interplay and convey the feelings these moments elicit, her art encompasses layers of movement, texture, bold colours and lines. Jean’s quest to paint is energized by her need to find out what inner tactile creativity remains untapped and to share her visual stories with others.
