Fabienne Basanov
Bio
Fabienne, originally from France, made Calgary her home in 2001. She rekindled her love of painting ten years ago. She uses classical oil painting techniques such as glazing for her portraits in her studio, and scrubbing and scumbling for her landscapes during camping. She believes artists are magicians when they create beauty with paints, violins, or their own bodies. Come enjoy her new portraits and landscapes from Alberta, British Columbia, Mexico, Spain and France, including the one on her easel she is currently working on.
