Inspiration comes to Barb in many forms, but especially in the natural world and by paying attention to what moves her. She uses an intuitive approach to creating a call-and-response process, painting more from a feeling, rather than painting using a reference. She prefers to take artistic license by disrupting realism, which provides her the freedom to be more expressive in her work.
