PDF with dates & Times for lawn signs
Your sign requires the dates & times of the tour to be added to it. This way you can use your signs for more than one year. Each sign is double sided - therefore you will have to print two sheets per sign.
Download the PDF by clicking the button below. You may need to trim it to fit your sign. We also recommend waterproofing it by laminating or placing it in a page protector before attaching it to your sign.
why signs are important
Effective signage is essential for guiding visitors to your studio during the self-guided tour. Here are a few reasons why having ample signage benefits both artists and attendees:
1. Visibility and Direction: Well-placed signs help drivers and pedestrians easily find your location from key entry points in the neighborhood. This is especially important in a bustling environment where multiple artists are showcasing their work.
2. Creating a Welcoming Atmosphere: When attendees see a sign in your yard, it creates a sense of welcome and encourages them to knock on your door. A clear invitation can enhance visitor comfort and increase the likelihood of engagement.
3. Annual Use: Each CAST sign comes with a base that can be securely placed in the ground, making them reusable for subsequent events with easy adjustments for updated dates and times.
Having ample signage not only enhances the experience for your visitors but also increases your visibility, leading to greater opportunities for connection and sales during the tour. Don't miss out—order your signs today!
when to set up your signs
We recommend setting your signs up no earlier than the day before the tour. Ideally the best time to put your signs out is the morning of the first day (Friday).

Please Track & Give Feedback!
After the tour we send artists a short survey to gather feedback—especially how many visitors you had and how they heard about you. Download and print this tracking PDF to help record visitor numbers during the tour.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TOUR!
- Promotion: BEGIN PROMOTING 4 TO 6 WEEKS OUT FROM THE EVENT DATE. Be sure to participate in co-promotion through your socials, newsletter, and network.
- Lawn Signs: The artists to who display lawn signs throughout their neighborhood, leading people to their address, have the best turnouts.
- Marketing Materials: Provide artist postcards or business cards for attendees to take with them, or other self-marketing materials.
- Offer draw prize(s) in your space: This is an awesome way to increase your newsletter email list! Giveaway ideas include, non-limited prints, greeting cards, or any other items you create.
- A POS (point of sale) system: A way to take payment from customers. Email transfer with your customers also works, be sure to have a way to provide receipts.
- A guest book: You can use this to collect feedback from visitors about your studio and artwork. This will help you with your individual growth and could provide testimonials for your website (be sure to ask permission before posting an individuals name on your website).
- Have a second person with you: For your safety and to help with multiple visitors at at time this is a must! Throughout the tour you should have a second individual with you to help welcome guests, answer questions and ensure all runs smoothly.
- Pets: Please keep household pets from roaming freely during the tour. Visitors may have allergies, phobias, or mobility and safety concerns, and open access to artwork raises the risk of damage or incidents. If your pet will be on-site, confine it to a separate room, carrier, or on a short leash, and post a brief notice at the entrance
