Nadine Johnson
Bio
Nadine Johnson is a Calgary-based abstract painter whose work grows from layers of color, collage, and lived experience. She paints intuitively, letting memory, place, and personal history guide the process, a slow unfolding where each mark influences the next. Her work is shaped by what she carries with her: florals, prairie horizons, old fences, and family stories. A major shift came in 2020 through the Creative Visionary Program (CVP), leading to gallery representation and a deeper commitment to teaching. Nadine coaches with Art2Life and is represented by Maud Gallery and H Squared Gallery.
