Iqra Adam is a Calgary-based mixed-media abstract artist and colorist whose work explores both joyful and reflective sides of life. Using bright, bold hues, she captures everyday moments that spark laughter, warmth, and connection. In contrast, her monotone pieces delve into memory and deeper emotion, proving that simplicity can intensify meaning. Working intuitively, she begins with a feeling and lets color, texture, and pattern lead the process. Acrylics, watercolors, inks, and oil paint sticks create energetic surfaces. Guided by the philosophy “imperfect, yet uniquely perfect,” her art balances happiness, nostalgia, love, and emotion across personal stories and shared human experiences.
