Gordon Galenza
Bio
Gordon Galenza is a Calgary-based self-taught artist, craftsman, and designer whose work moves freely between fine woodworking, sculptural furniture, mixed media, painting, graphics, and digital art. For more than sixty years, he has created commissioned and exhibition pieces guided by a philosophy of simple, elegant design and a deep respect for the natural beauty of materials. His work is marked by a love of colour, geometry, humour, and a touch of surrealist edge, often blurring the line between art, craft, and function. His work has been shown and held in private collections in Canada and the United States.
