Bio
Debra’s paintings are rich in colour showing the harmony of the natural world. In the studio you’ll see oil paintings, field sketches, vibrant pastels and large charcoal drawings. Debra is devoted to capturing the fleeting impressions of her surroundings. The mountain forests, coulees and waterways are her outdoor studio. Plein air painting is a way to absorb nature and experience the soul of a place. Born in Banff, Deb studied at the Alberta University of the Arts. She taught painting and drawing there after graduation. Bringing those skills back to her studio, she helps others find their voice in art.
