The canvas starts its life just like urban life does...blank...and just like the streets of a urban environment, someone will leave their mark. This is the goal that Blake has every time he attacks apiece of his art. His pop culture/mid century aesthetics are pushed by the complex hand cut stencils that portray places, people and ideology.
