Afshan Khan is a self-taught abstract visual artist based in Rockyview County, Alberta. Working primarily with palette knife techniques, she creates expressive landscapes and florals inspired by Canada’s vast skies and seasonal transformations. Her work captures emotion through bold textures, layered colour, and intuitive movement. Afshan’s practice is rooted in storytelling and connection, often reflecting themes of calm, healing, and cultural diversity. In addition to her studio work, she leads community art workshops that encourage self-expression and creativity for all ages. Through her art, Afshan invites viewers to pause, reflect, and find beauty in both nature and emotion.
