Bio
Lindsay explores her own history of dance and ballet and the realization that dance inspires her every movement. For her it's best to start with freedom, colour and gestural marks. Once she breaks up the blank space she begins to cultivate the mood of the piece settling in to creating her story with paint, charcoal, pencil and sometimes her hand made papers find their way onto the canvas. It is a completely creative process – control is her enemy at this point! The best outcomes are always when she lets the art speak to her, and she listens!
