Bio
Lera Bersenova is a Ukrainian-born artist from Zaporizhzhia, a region occupied since the 2022 full-scale invasion. Through painting, Lera Bersenova explores themes of identity, resilience, and emotional depth, using each piece as a means of self-expression. Her work reflects both personal hardships—such as the loss of her mother, her father’s military service, and struggles with mental health—as well as moments of warmth and joy, often capturing beloved subjects like family, pets, and daily life. Now based in Calgary, proud member of work as a member of the Calgary Community of Painters Society (CCPS).
